    Ummmm Yeah I guess so.

    Interesting Car, but for some reason I just do not like it. Its in fantastic condition, but the conversion look old fashioned for 1956, looks like something from the post war era of 46-50. When I read 300 I was thinking Gullwing, so maybe I was expecting something completely different.

    The number only refers to the engine displacement; but even then, a 300SL is still not necessarily a gullwing roadster.

    I would think, a roadster and a gullwing would be entirely different builds

    Yes they are. But it does not change the fact both can have the same model designation but be two different body styles.

    And it's why I have a pair of Mercedes 300's, one is a S class W126 and the other is a W123, basically the forerunner to the E class.
