    Where did they mount the generators, on those? I see nothing whatsoever

    I think it might be mounted rather low on the right (passenger)
    side of the block.

    It is , way low on the rt side. Had this one , great car. 54 was the first year for the Y block . 239 cid same as the previous flathead.

    Oh man, that is so neat. It looks like a good cleaning of the interior and it would be almost like mew!
    I really like this car. Updated brakes too. (That booster set up looks familiar) If it were mine I'd clean it up and drive it just the way it is.
