Talking 65 Two Door Wagon for sale

Rare wagon For Sale

As some of you know, several years ago I bought my Yellow 65 2-door
Chevelle wagon from Chuck Hanson (Horsepower T.V. & ACES).
Sadly, I must sell it now. Gotta thin the herd.

It is a sharp car and turns heads but it's not a show car. Chuck
described it to me as a "Fifty Footer”. Let me tell you some
things about the car. It was a white car with Turquoise interior,
6 cylinder / Powerglide / Power Steering.
It is now Crocus Yellow with a `65 283 cu.in with a mild cam,
700R-4, PS, 12"Power Disk brakes, Auto-Meter Gauges & Tach,
Classic Auto Air "Perfect-Fit" Series (installed by the factory).
Corbeau Bucket seats (Leather & Suede) +
aftermarket console & Steering Wheel
Carpet & Tires are like new.

If anyone is interested e-mail me at: twodoorwagon@usa.com
or call me at: 941-726-4162 (wife, Ruth’s phone).

There are pictures of it at:

(you may have to cut & paste into your browser)

I bought the car from Chuck for $13,500 and had air-conditioning
added ($2,500) and a few more minor things.

Make me an offer, the worst thing I could do is to say no.

I'm in South-West Florida
Thanks for looking,
Jeff

If this is the Chevelle wagon I'm thinking of, there is one more very important upgrade that was done to it. Chuck changed the frame to the fully boxed frame from an El Camino for more strength. Great looking car, too.

Same wagon, Mike, but the frame never got changed. Chuck kept stalling and I bought it too soon.

Didn't know it needed the boxed frame - used to haul engines from a machine shop to a speed shop about 50 miles away, and usually from 1000 to 1500 lbs with air shocks to keep it level.
Never a problem with mine, and even a BB in front.
Wish I had some money for your, though!

I don't recall ever seeing that wagon on his show, but I remember the '70 Chevelle wagon he replaced it with. Saw that one up for sale (I think it was his....) a few months ago.

Very nice for the price! Needs a few details, but compared to some of the prices I've seen, this would be a deal....

I believe he also had a 64 or 5 2-dr wagon with a 66 nose on it, too!
Being a bolt-on, I guess anything is possible!
Thinking it was a BB, but not sure, but I used to watch the show all the time, hoping they'd talk about it.
Kind of surprised this one is so chipped-up, kinda like the kids got at it.

Different car. Here is the one that Chuck bought from Ken Memmel. Ken converted it from a 66 4-door wagon, using parts from a 65 2-door wagon. Chuck later added his personal touches also "Flamed" it. See more here:

Make me an offer, I'm still flexible.

I've had a fair ammount of interest, but no one has pulled the trigger. This is a good, clean, straight, 47 year old Rare Wagon. In 1965 only 1,668 2-door wagons were produced.

Jeff, if I were a wealthy person your wagon would now be my wagon . I hope you are able to sell it quickly - the market seems a bit slow at the moment overall.
