Well, no but what if? I will probably repost this in a different form but thought it might
be interesting fodder for the general discussion forum. If you've got any evidence of
a true '77-'96 non-hearse/ambulance variation of the theme, post some pictures.

I drew this several years back, probably around the time the second gen. Escalades came out while lamenting
the passing of 'traditional' Cadillac design as well as the full size dream boats. I pulled styling cues from the
early 60's and the 90's Seville/Eldorados. I always found the '90's Fleetwood to be the least visually dynamic
"B" platform designs (not that it was too bad) so I wanted to spice it up a bit and set it apart from the others
    a bit more.

It would have to be a custom built on a Roadmaster, Custom Crusier, or Caprice, but I know I've heard of it. Also wouldn't be late unless you consider 96 or earlier late. Oh and those Caddies were really Ds but in the case of a wagon it would be a B.

Not sure how much work, but I've seen Cad sheetmetal on the front of 91-96 wagons....

While were on the topic of B body customs, are there any custom 2 doors or El Caminos?

That's right... thanks. Longer wheel base, right? I guess I was thinking about the shared parts like the front doors and windshield... lazy thinking on my part.
No question, if one of those wagons exists, it would have been custom built.

Yeah - if the conversion were easy, you would see a lot more of them. The reason it's hard is the distance between the front edge of the front door and the center line of the front wheel. That measurement is approx. 3" longer on the 'D' body. This means either major modifications (shortening)of the front Caddy sheetmetal (including the hood); or grafting the 'D' body front frame section onto the wagon frame back half.

Nice drawings, Mark. I love the '67 Eldo influence in the rear.
Not a big fan of fender skirts though.......

Krash, thanks. I agree, when, if ever, I do some othe rviews, I'll include a version without the skirts. Those were for the traditional Caddy buyer.
Good eye on the '67 detail, even I forgot to mention that. What a great car that was. It was that rear end that really got this drawing started in
    the first place. Ha Ha.

Hemmings Muscle Machines Feb 2011 ran this letter about a factory built
    'Should have been.'

I've seen that. I wonder how many prototypes were made. Shame that or the G8 ST didn't make it to production. As far as B body customs, I've saw a 2 door Impala. I'm hoping it was just a Caprice clone/2 door custom.

I was just pointing it out. Most generally include Caddys when they say B body. I even do it sometimes.

I've seen a couple of those 2 door Impalas and a couple "Alternomads".
The later, I'm sure pictures of which have landed on this sight, were
both 4dr wagons, 1 with the rear doors welded shut and full length panels
welded over the side glass, the other had the windows paneled over but
    all the doors were functional.

Thom Talyor's Revell model kit has a better look with the longer doors and forward slanted B-pillars.
(I asume someone spent the time and money to build a 1:1 of this one?)

Labeled the "1995 Nomad Sportsman" (sorry if this is redundant...)
this was my take on that one, I even modified the model kit to create one without spending all the
money on a full size... Ha Ha... Yea, ... I'm a geek. I'm okay with that.

I've also built this shorter wheel based coupe using the left overs from an "Impala SS wagon"
model project; It's called the "Impala XS" (pictures to follow, some day.)

Wow, Mark, you are some talented artist for sure. Your drawings are amazing. You don't happen to have one of a Country Squire after '91? Never could understand why Ford never made them.

I do have a couple rough sketches based on the '94 Crown Vic. I want to take them further
and do some finished illustrations. I took some time on them and used the '60 as my inspiration. some folks here know of my affinity for the '60... I also wanted something more cohesive and integrated than just grafting a Torus roof line (with apologies to the gentleman on this forum who actually built one that way. Ya done well.)

I'll dig the other one up when I get time...

It wasn't a woody, but someone made a Crown Vic wagon using a Taurus wagon.
