Hello all. Been a lerker for some time now. Here is my 1979 Dodge F-Body for your viewing.

It is my version of a what if car. A combination cross of the scarce Aspen Sport Wagon and the 2 Door R/T Coupe. All the work was done by myself. Was a bench seat auto on the colum car. 225 leanning tower of power.

Here is where I need some help with parts:
    List needed: 360 / 727 Conversion
I need all the kick-down linkage for a LA 360 4bbl / 727 Complete all the springs etc.
I need a Factory V8 Radiator for Automatic, with A/C (Must be an original part in nice condition)
Need rear frame sway bar mounts that bolt to the frame rails. ( I have the bar )
Need a steel LA 727 Trany Dipstick and tube. ( Nice Original Parts )
Need a Steel 360 engine oil dip stick and tube. (nice Original Parts )
Nice complete un-cut 360 w/A/C engine wiring harness. (No junk please)
Nice Original Chrome trim for the gas petal. ( Original Part )

    PM me here or call.

Here is a picture of what I started with. I am the second owner. I was after the car for 10 plus years. In my name for about the last 3 years now. I drove it as is for about two years. Then I parted out a 1979 Aspen Coupe for the front seats, console, and rear seat cover. The coupe interior was all Saddle color. I dyed all the seats, console and re-dyed all the other wagon interior parts. All new carpet set etc. I even dyed a Black Tuff wheel to match. I liked the look better. All the flares came from collecting parts over the years. I rebuilt the 8-track Radio ( Took me 3 units to make one that worked. The wheels are Original Parts. I restored them. Added dual Sport Rear View side mirrors also.

The cars state right now is apart. I am doing detail and repaint under the hood. Installed a new radiator core support for the larger radiator. It will have a warmed over 71 360 engine. It will have a factory cast iorn 4v intake with a Thermoquad carb. And Orange Dual Snorkel Air cleaner. motor will be Factory Blue in color. Trany is a slightly modified 727 with a factory 360 HP converter from a 72 Rallye Charger. ( Its New Old Stock ) Rear end will be an 8.25" sure grip. Gear ratio undecided at this time.

So please if you can look at my parts needed list in the first post. Please help if you can.

Special Thanks to Marty, for some really odd parts that I needed. And to Jim the Deconstructor! Both GREAT guys to work with!

In final: I am trying hard to get this car done for this summer. As it has been apart for over 1 year now.

    Thanks
    Rich

That's a unique, one-of-none car that will cause some head scratching at car shows. :hmmm: Very nice!

Thanks everyone! Glad you like my idea! It does turn heads. And with a little luck this summer it will be turning both rear tires!

GREAT car. You started off with a beauty, and sure did a great job on the conversion. Simply beautiful. Great plans you have, too. May I make one suggestion, though, for the 360: Skip the cast iron factory intake. Go with an Edelbrock Performer RPM. It flows better, which gives better power as well as slightly better fuel economy. Most importantly, it helps take a bit of weight off the front end for better handling. Every pound counts. It can be painted to look like the factory original part, too.

Nice work. When these came out, I so much wanted one (the Sport Wagon package). Budget at the time wouldn't permit. You've done a lot with what you have. One question: How are the dyed interior parts holding up, and what products(s) did you use?
