Was $2000 last week on Craigslist. Whitney is very close to where I used to live in Malone. It does appear to be decent! Sad about the cam going flat, but maybe it's not the cam, maybe it's an ignition/timing issue, or a lack of fuel getting through the lines.

I like the Q&A on there.

I have been to a zillion car and truck shows. Many cruise-ins, parades, and everything else where bikes, cars, trucks, station wagons, golf carts, and anything else mobile is or has been.
I have seen many types of station wagons. But I have never seen a clamshell wagon with the lift gate down or going down/up. If you don't have one or know someone with one it's likely you will not see one in operation.
To this day I have never seen one opened in real life.
I think it is the neatest thing since Velcro!

DITTO! Never seen one working other then pics and video. Infact, I have only seen 1 clamshell in person in my life and it was in a boneyard with the rear all destroyed from being rear ended. They were from the 70's, in a time when the metal was not as good quality as it should have been and being from the "salt/snow/rust belt of America", not many 70's survivors made it out alive.

My Uncle had a Clamshell Wagon, it was an Olds Custom Cruiser. Only one I've ever seen in my life.

The car is now in Minn. Body is nice, but interior is very sun baked. Will probably be crushed.

Sorry, but WHY IN THE HELL would anyone crush a solid car like that? Want to crush stuff, come on over to NY and start with anything older then '98, Lord knows that are all rotted out. Cars that are old and solid like this guys like me from the Rust/Salt/Snow belt dream of finding locally. We consider anything older then 10 years Old, because they never last much longer then that with all the crap weather we have to put up with.
