Saw this on Bring A Trailer this morning: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230745060665+&viewitem=
check out the undercarriage all sprayed black and exhaust silver this is a place called Lash Motors or as guy in Lakeland calls them trash by lash all cars he sells are sprayed black and silver undercarriage ck out chevelle he has as factory numbers matching original has eldebrock carb and intake chrome alt and bracket
I haven't seen such exuberant use of a spray can since that silver '79 LeBaron I had in Wyoming. To illustrate my point, the car was delivered in white. But somebody decided it needed to be rattle canned in silver.
That Polara is a Canadian model. Thats why it has a 318 rather than a 383 which was standard on all 66 Polara and Monaco wagons in the US. The Polara 880 wagon in Canada, was equivalent to the trim level of the Monaco wagon in the US. That means this wagon should have wood like trim on the side. Another unique feature of the 65 & 66 Canadian Polaras and Monacos was that they had the Plymouth Fury dash.
I agree, the underside...and engine......would have looked so much better if they had left them alone or stopped after a good cleaning/degreasing.
66 Polara And " ANOTHER " "PRIVATE " listing!! This group of guys ( The lash group ? ) ALWAYS sells their cars on Ebay with a private listing. No one's name is ever revealed anymore by Ebay format, so I just have to ASSUME there is something not on the up and up when they do this !!!!
they had a 76 fury wagon listed as 100 % #match and original posted vin tag and i decoded it and called them and they told me if it was not 100%correct they would give me the car. Has RARE factory high flow dual exhaust and fact alum 4bbl intake not on vin code it was a leanburn 400 factory woodgrain not on vin tag and was airbrushed on then he hung up on me so i am not driving a Fury wagon. most of the cars go overseas
I thought that dash looked odd, but I couldn't figure out why... Took 'driver training' in high school in a '67 Plymouth that had that dash. Here's a pic of a U.S. '66 Polara dash....
KK, all, and mysef included....we have to stop "trying" to get pics from allpar....they don't like to share, but don't mind sharing pics from others I learned sum'tin today... I origonally didn't notice anything wrong with the dash, being I'm Canadian and have seen many of these. I guess this is the correct dash for USA. I've seen this dash in Canada, but only in 2 door models... I thought thats the way it was. Guess the 2 doors I've seen come from the US?
