No, I agree with you. I think most of the cars from the 1960's look goofy.

I agree too, that front end does nothing for me.

In general I like the styling from the 60s (maybe cause I am 60s vintage myself) but I agree that this is not one of the better efforts. However, still better than most of the current crop.

I think that is the draw to it for me, the "ugly" front end makes me like it! I never cared for the big, ugly cars until a few years ago. I will even admit 10 years ago if I would have got my hands on a nice running 4 door or wagon, it was nothing more than a donor car to me. My Caprice was going to be a frame and suspension for a truck project but loading it on the trailer I took a liking to it and the older I get the more I remember wagons from my childhood and more I like them. I am teased on a daily basis by my dad, coworkers and friends about my RM until they go for a ride and always say "This is kinda cool!" Never been one for worrying what people think so I grin and have always been into cars that were kind of on the "odd" or not mainstream side. I like long bed trucks and have fixed up a couple that were nice enough that I took as a compliment at cruise nights when someone would say "Nice! Almost didn't notice it was a long bed!" I passed up a oppurtunity to buy, from my dad a 1940 Chevy Business coupe that was very nice, all original. He picked it up as a non-runner that he had running a hour later with a set of points, 6 volt battery and fresh gas! He was going to build a street rod out of it but everything was correct on the car except the steel wheels were wrong color (easy fix) but didn't have the heart to cut up this nice original running car. My wife loves the original cars like that and my dad sat down and figured what he had in it and also gave me credit towards some labor and offered it to me for $3000. This was probably about 12 years ago. I passed because I had a raggedy '55 Chevy pick up I was about $7500 into the build and it still drove bad and rode bad but it was fast and loud...if I had that deal to do again. My dad ended up selling car for like $8500 to someone who stopped by and wanted it. Anyway all this rambling and non sense to just say a lot of people are drawn to cars with "odd" styling just because of that...it's odd. :tiphat:
Sorry for ramble, I sometimes get carried away!

Just said it wasn't my cup of tea.

To me, the original front end on this car looked much better. The hood, with the very rectilinear nostrils, just kills it.

Agreed, the "nostrils" on the hood kill the look of the dramatic 1962 face. Even worse, or better, according to one's taste, is the 1963 Dodge.
