Yes, we've seen this gorgeous, loaded up and very rare one-year-only Cougar Villager wagon before repeatedly. Loaded up with it all except air conditioning. :slap:  :disagree: I only repost because the price has dropped a bit and because new forum members may not be familiar with this beauty!

It has it all most anyone could ever want except a/c if you are in the southern climates!
Deal-breaker for me personally. Just saying. :taz:

I searched back through several months for this car, and I see that the price has dropped considerably. At one point it was $9500. It's much more reasonable now, but, perhaps, still a bit high for a non-AC car.

It's been mentioned before, but it probably wouldn't be too terrible a task to add air conditioning to it. That is, if you could do most or all of the work yourself. It might get prohibitively expensive, if you had to pay someone else to do it. You'd also need access to a parts car, but there's no shortage of models that could be potential donors.

It does appear to be a very clean car. Considering the location and the propensity of these cars to rust, some pictures of the underneath are definitely in order.

Just as an aside: technically, this isn't a one-year only model, as there was also Cougar Villager in 1982, although it was on a completely different platform.

Price HAS dropped greatly to $4900! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

If only it had factory A/C?

I have seen maybe half a dozen of these. Only one of them WASN'T this color green. And it was white with a brown interior. If it's in good enough shape, this one could be worth the asking price, to me. But, I'm a bit short for the time being.

Green and white did predominate as exterior colors, but here's proof there were others, like this awesome looking black paint with wood grain and red exterior! :taz:

Well, I am the new owner of this wagon!

Have been watching it for a long time and thought it must have sold last year when the ad disappeared. Was glad to see it back this year and with a lower price.

It's easy to see it wasn't winter driven, the floors & frame are in excellent condition.

    A couple of pics...

Congratulations on a great buy! I've been watching it as well, and regretting I could not afford it. It is wonderful that someone who will love her has got the opportunity. Have fun with the old girl. Remember, these cars LOVE to be driven!
