Not sure what kind of clamshell it is, but at 1:56'ish, look to the left and you can see a wood-grain clamshell wagon.

This car chase is hard for me to watch because I have a '73 Grand Ville sedan just like the one in this chase (that was a new car when this was filmed). When it first starts out when the car lunges out of the garage (at :12), I start to cringe, lol). At the end, all I can say is poor Grand Ville. :( It is a shame that this one is the beautiful blue color and a very high optioned model, even has cornering lights (for a little while, lol). :)

You mean the back end of the Caprice wagon parked off the side of the road? There are several wagons in the background of the chase scene, but the Caprice is hardly noticeable. On the other hand, the white 71 Torino Squire shows up about 15 times during the chase.

One of the best chases EVER, even if no Ventura that year sounded like that one did, hahaha! Sound dubbing for sure but no CGI!! ;)

It's no coincidence it has the look and feel of a 'East Coast' 'Bullitt'

Same Stunt Coordinator on both - Bill Hickman.

Not only stunt coordinator -Bill Hickman drove on film both the Charger in "Bullitt" and the Grand Ville in "The Seven Ups" into movie history. :yup:

Great chase there, nice to see such a big ass Pontiac, I think at 7:07 you can see the clam version as well.
