They are cool interiors all right! I had a 62 TBird many years ago and I have always thought they were the coolest interior ever designed. It is going to be a LOT of work but I like to do something custom and different on my projects to make them unique. I have nothing against stock and original but this is just my thing. The last wagon I worked on I turned a 62 Ranch wagon into a sedan delivery.
I will be posting my progress for those who are interested. I spent the evening tonight welding in the wood trim holes on the front fender. I counted and there are 128 holes that need welded shut and ground down and smoothed with filler. The wood trim pieces were all missing when I bought it.

I have made a lot of progress with the retrofit of the 64 TBird interior, still a long way to go but the dash is in for the test fit. All of this will have to be removed when it is right and painted/restored then reinstalled. I have also welded in the old wood trim holes in the passenger front fender and the rear quarter. A lot of filling and block sanding to do though  !

Removing the air deflectors in the back and the quarter window trim was a SOB :banghead3: . I cussed the FOMOCO engineers a few times during this painfull procedure.

Well I made a little more progress on the 64 Tbird dash install. A lot of head scratching and I decided to try to fill in the gap between the dash and the cowl with a piece of the original dash. I have test fit this piece in the dash a couple dozen times and it is close after a lot of cutting, splicing and reshaping.

Looking good! I've got an extra dash spacer piece (whatever you wanna call it) from a 72-79 intermediate Ford. Not sure if you can use it. Let me know if you're interested, or need me to take measurements, etc. Here's a pic of it attached to the dash pad.

I got the rear quarter and door in primer today and block sanded the hood and ready for primer.
I am trying to figure out how to insert the pictures inline, anybody know how to do it?

You'll have to use another website to host your pictures. I use Photobucket.

Thanks but I tried photobucket and still couldn't get it to work. I copied the URL and pasted it in the "upload file from a URL" and still nothing. I just think that putting the pictures inline is much better for the members who are interested in following this build. I don't mean to hijack my own thread and turn it into a posting pics thread but I looked on the site for instructions and that didn't help me either. I have noticed that ALL attached pics in all threads don't open by clicking once but if you close the window and click again it opens right up.
Back on subject I got the rear quarter guide coated and block sanded for what I hope is the last step on this area for straightening the panels. and I stripped the lower front fender to metal to straighten it out. This car has NO RUST because it lived most of it's life in TX and inside, but it did sustain some dents and dings in it's life and was smoothed before an old repaint. I am doing it all over though to make it perfectly straight.

I am creating another generation of a "car guy", my Grandson Jayden helping Papaw block sand the 65. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima I got the hood with the 64 Tbird cowl hood primed tonight.
