OMG - what a find! Such a rare Plymouth wagon! 400 V8 and 36k Miles. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Plymou...on-wagon-/271915381687?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
Well! If someone wants to make this a Concours show car, it wouldn't take much! Not to mention, a lot of factory/dealer info that could help others restoring '76 Mopars.
Reminds me of this terrific 1976 dealer wagon video comparison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWE0Pm-huZU
Interesting observation. Built on a 124-inch wheelbase with a shipping weight of 4975 lbs. and a base price of $5761. The car’s build date is July 19, 1976, which is pretty late for a 1976. Interesting fact….running down the assembly line, the driver’s side has chrome door lock knobs, passenger side has brown. Guess no one wanted to restock parts!
Did the seller upload old poloroids or is this just great use of photo-filtering here... I mean it looks like the family should be standing next to the wagon in bell bottoms with bowlcuts. And that interior - vey cool, very 70's... Gives that Valencia in the Grand Safari a run for the money. Beats straight scross leatherette... Its the right year, just wrong make for me.
That's factory authentic 1976 optional Holiday plaid upholstery! (I agree the photos of the wagon for sale look old - but the Texas license plate is current.)
Auction ended early due to item no longer being available. The seller must have gotten an offer he/she couldn't refuse. The bidding had only reached $4000 and the reserve had not been met. Any bets on whether or not a flipper got it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-Plymou...Y0O%2BwZctfHt0zRqrOug%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
