For $15K, that "slow leak in the A/C" had better be FIXED, and the air conditioning had better blow at 34*F and freeze my testicles solid!

The fake ash trim is the best I've ever seen on one of these. Those items are truly "unobtanium"! If a guy were looking for one of these, this one is pretty damn slick! Two-owner CA car. The CA tag is from the right time frame, too. No engine pics or pics from underneath would have to be addressed, as well as detailed pics of the dash and cargo area. It's got a 318 and not the 225. Pretty loaded, from what I can tell.

Ten grand would be a pretty good buy for this. The $15K price is very hopeful.

Yes, the 'wood' is in excellent condition, but this Le Baron Town & Country seems to have vinyl seating more fitting to a lowly Volare'.

    Seats it has:

Is there enough demand for one of these to even warrant that price, condition or not?

Probably not - it's a great museum piece, but not worth $15k.

I do think the demand is there - not everyone wants a full-sized wagon, nor do they have the garage space for one. Look at how full-sized wagon prices have jumped in the past two years! Mid-sized wagons are the next hot item, boys.

I question the front seat, too. BUT, could the car have been special-ordered with a vinyl seat??? Maybe??? Customer wanted the car, but without leather seats? Could that have been factory-ordered, or perhaps the dealer swapped a seat(s) from a LeBaron sedan? It would be interesting to know for certain.

I believe that's the 'standard' Le Baron seat, according to the brochures I looked at. Appears that for '81 at least, you just ordered the 'optional' seating...

I dig a mid sized wagon. I own a '69 Fairlane. I used to have a '66 Nova wagon, which is classified as a compact wagon. I was referring more to the era of early 80s wagons. Are they in hot demand? It would seem that, looks being a matter of opinion, the issues of build quality and low compression engines with primitive emission controls would make cars of this era less desirable.

    I'd be tempted....
Price still too high. I'd go maybe $7,000, but I'd have to find some better seats for it.

Just for kicks and grins, the Old Cars Price Guide lists the value of an '81 Le Baron Town & Country station wagon in showroom condition at...

    ...$2,900.

No, they're not in "hot demand." No station wagon is in hot demand. Station wagons are barely in demand at all except among the few dozen people who frequent this site and in the minds of the sellers of these wagons who routinely overprice them, sometimes, as in this case, substantially. :)

He does have a "make offer" button. Anyone interested in this car should offer him $3,000 and see what happens.

OCPD is notorious INaccurate. I honestly do not know anyone that uses that these days. Are you sure you weren't looking at one from a decade ago???
