Thanks. I've owned my 76 for just over 4 years. I found it on eBay in Phoenix. I bought it from the second owner who had it briefly. The original owner, a lawyer from Phoenix, was definitely a car guy. I found one of the first gas receipts from 76 and the build sheet in the glove box. Every year I've been trying to do a little bit, last year springs, year before engine and now finally a paint job. The paint was cooked from the AZ sun. I'll have to get some pictures up showing the paint steps. Lot of work stripping one of these wagons!

Hi, just wanted to give an update on the Amblewagon specs. The wagon hasn't been delivered yet but I did get back the order sheet listing the options on this Estate wagon. It sounds pretty rare. The main option is the engine which I was shocked it came with. Could explain why the engine is blue since this engine option came with HEI in 1974. The main options on the car are:

    455 - 4BBL "E" Stage 1 w/ dual exhaust and HEI
    Positraction
Heavy Duty engine and transmission cooling
    Chrome plated wheels

I'm hoping it still has it's original engine which I will check when the car arrives. Thanks

74 Stage1's are RED I hope it still has it but I wonder if they put a smogger newer engine in and sold the stage. That would suk those stages are SCREAMERS!

I'll bet it has the whole driveline Stage package in it. you could get a stage1 driveline in a regular car. I got one in a plaine jane rivy.

It should have a BT code on the trans 74 stage1 turbo 400 only and a 3.23 12 bolt posi. That was the stage1 package

Always wanted to GS emblems and a stage1 badge on my wagon!

Yes it is thanks. Sorry I haven't posted pictures yet. On a good note it's starting to look like it is the original engine. I see a 73 cast on the block so definitely not a 75/76 blue
engine. Carb is a big 800 cfm one as well. I'll try to wash it and take some pictures this weekend if the weather is good. Thanks for checking in.

Hello. I took some pictures this weekend at my Friend's shop. Still checking for codes on the engine but did enclose a pic of the emissions sticker showing use 91 octane or higher. Also found in the spare tire wheel an original LR78-15 Goodyear on a rally wheel that appears to be unused. I also took a picture of one of the rear cargo ambulance lights which don't work but I'll get them working soon. There is rust bubbling in spots under the vinyl so I'm considering stripping the roof and painting it a dark blue and putting a factory roof rack on it. I enclosed one pic with the rack off my 76 just sitting on top for looks. Any opinions welcome! Thanks
