That.....is.....AWESOME!!!! If I had more space and money, I'd take that beast. Even though I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford the hurt to my gas mileage!

    Neat!!!

Those are KOOL!!! I'd love to mount one on the old Poncho, but its already had the springs cut for the "low ride", and one of those would make it a "no ride"...LOL I don't think my car would move with one of those on it, it would be on the ground. Look at how low the rear of the 63 Ford is...
Very interesting though...HMMM, Airbags might help...HAHAHA:biglaugh::rofl::biglaugh::rofl:

I remember seeing a few of those when I was a kid. Always thought it was a good 'idea', just not practical. The rear suspension would be seriously overloaded - they would probably insist on Helwig overloads as a part of the deal at least. The usable room inside for anything other than sleeping would be minimal. If you want to go camping in a small, single-unit vehicle, a 'van-camper' is ultimately much more practical.

The 'pod-tent' that was a show vehicle set up on the '58 Country Sedan in the video seems like better idea. I recall a company that made pick-up camper shells, where the roof of the shell flipped over to the side on a hinge, and it had an attached tent undeneath. Up ended up with stand-up room in the bed of the truck, and a double bed off to the side, supported on stilts to the ground. You could do the same thing with a wagon, just wouldn't have the stand-up room. (Unless you had a Stude Lark!)

    My 63 wagon litecloud pic,s

http://dougsvintagetrailers.com/1966_lite_cloud Here are some pic,s of a litecloud i have had on my ford wagon for about 5 years. I had to put 3/4 ton truck springs in the back. I do use it and it attracts a lot of attention at camp grounds or driving on the freeway.
