I may have seen this very wagon in person passing by me one day in April. If I didn't, It's in the same finish as that one I saw.

    That maroon wagon looks nice.
I had a maroon Dodge van and the title said RED.

Except for the fried clear-coat, this seems like a nice wagon. has the 'Limited' interior, too.

My Dad called about this wagon. I'm not yet sure if we'll go look at it or not.

EDIT: If all goes according to plan, We're going to see this one next Friday.

I'm not sure I would wait a week to see it. It could be gone by that time.

I found out through experience, if you see 'the' wagon for you, you've got to jump on it. Before getting the Way Back Machine, I lost one or two by procrastinating.

The guy's out of town at the moment which is why we're not heading down yet. Thanks though, I'm familiar with that happening.

What do you think this car is worth? I'm not sure if it has a CD player or not. I do know it has leather seats and the man's had it since 1998 and has always kept it maintained.

Also, He has been having it worked on for inspection and sale.

I love the color and enterior. I could live in there.
Have no idea what these things are worth.

The $3,500 asking price is a pretty good starting point. If it runs good, and there's no rust on the body, I'd maybe do some minor negotiation on the deal. I'd say $3,000 would be a very fair price. Keep in mind it's got some very good points to it. That 'Limited' interior would be on my 'gotta have' list.

The one on New Orleans is only $800. You could buy a lot of keys and used fenders/hoods for the difference.

The seller told my Dad he just stuck that price on there to have a price and will accept any reasonable offer.

It also has a power seat for the driver, power windows and working A/C.

If this is a style you like and you are seriously looking from the pictures and your posts it seems like a pretty decent wagon.

I suspect this one will sell quickly. It is very attractive.

And, apparently close to you so no long journey to find out it may be not be as good as presented.

I'm pretty sure the front passenger seat is also power, as well as recline.

Thanks. Some years ago (When I was ten years old or so as I saw a wagon sitting by a barn for sale at $400) I said I was thinking of buying a wagon for my Dad. This is literally the newest full-size wagon now outside of custom-ordering. Dad's also particular about buying cars that are inspected and it's not going to be in my name yet.

We're still awaiting a call and I hope we end up looking at it on Monday or a bit later.

    I looked at it today.

In short, It's closer in value to $1,000 to me (edit: closer to $1,000 than $3,500) going by the way I've been figuring things (Unless I feel like paying more than market value...) The spare-tire well is rusted through (although the seller is having that worked on,) there's a dent in the tailgate, the finish is fadey like on the hood but by the rear-right window and near the top of the door, the headliner is sagging on the sides at the rear side-windows and the hood latch cable was moved to the exterior of the car because the cable was stretched.

There's also bubbling on the... What is it called - roof pillar? on the rear driver's side of the car and if you open the tailgate up the swing-way you can see surface rust on the body. Also, the front and rear tires aren't the same exact size and the spare isn't the same as any of the other tires. (235/75R15 front, 225/75R15 rear, 215/65R15 spare)

I didn't go for a test drive in it. Also, It has a tape player and heated power seats and the third-row seat. Leather seats, yes, and the moon-roof but not the type that opens up. And it is inspected with emissions tested, but the seller had no idea the spare tire well was rusted through until I looked and showed him.

So, There's my report. On another note I saw two or three other Whale wagons in the Pittsburgh area today in passing (I didn't see any for sale signs on them.) One's a Caprice Estate with woodgrain and the other one (or two) I didn't look closely at.
