Well...the '88 Electra is my favorite 80's box wagon. I had a beauty that I dropped a built 455 into and it was a perfect car when I was done with everything. This looks to be a nice one even though it has the cheaper wheels on it. Too far away from me or I would be bidding on this one.:yup:

This one is a beauty. Looks like someone is going to get a good deal, too. My favorite of these box wagons, though, has to be the 77/78 Estate Limited wagons. I love the big block Buick engines.

Still no bids with just two days left. Boy I'm tempted.

Geeze!! Why couldn't it be closer! I would be bidding on it in a heartbeat! This is one of the nicest ones of these I've seen in years.

That place is literally 2 miles from the Ontario Airport. Fly in, drive it home!

Geez, if I were on the west coast I'd bid on that faster than my wife could get the gun to shoot me.....I can't believe no one has bid with that low opening bid considering the beautiful condition and color combo.

$194 for a one way ticket from Phoenix to Ontario CA and a 5 hour 325 mile drive home. HMMMM might be doable but I just bought the Carevelle Wagon. What to do?

Hell, if I could get that for $999, I'd still be spending $400 for a one-way flight, $325 for fuel and $150 for two nights in a hotel. Having it hauled would be less expensive!

Well...it ain't like it's next door ... it's pushing 2000 miles. Don't know if I'm up to that anymore. Hey...this car may take off in the next day or so and go to big bucks. My bet is that there are more than a few waiting in the weeds for this one.:yup:

If hemi isn't going for it maybe I'll tickle it for grins.:D

I agree Fox that this will get some bids and at least go up to around 2 grand. I hope so because then I don't have to worry about what to do. I'm always leary of driving a newly prchased car home when bought sight unseen. There is alot of desolite desert between Phoenix and LA. The plane fare cost will probably cover 2/3rds of shipping costs and gas the other1/3. Shipping it home would probably make more sense.

:D yup, that's always my hope, too, hemi...when there's car I love that's too far away...I hope it gets bid up so I won't feel guilty for not bidding.:biglaugh:
And...there's a lot more road between me and that car than you and that car!:D

Less than 2 days to go, and still no bids at all! If I had a passport, I would be getting serious about this one. It looks like a rip-roaring screaming deal!

another option is to take my truck and trailer and go pick it up. 650 miles round trip @ 15mpg= 43 gallons of diesel @ 4.25 = $185. only problem is shutting down my shop for a day plus fuel and wear and tear would cost more than hiring a shipper. Ok I'm back to having it shipped.
