You don't see one of these too often. This is actually a 'Le Sabre-trimmed' wagon. Has a different header panel and grill than the Electra-trimmed model. Not as nice seats, either.

The car may be in Beverly Hills, California, but it has Michigan license plates on it. Would like to see some photos of the undercarriage.

The indication on the ad for a location of 'Beverly Hills' I don't think refers to the one in California. Per Map Quest, there's a 'Beverly Hills' that's a suburb area of Detroit, just north of Southfield.

What are the differences between the LeSabre and Electra models?

Actually, I was wrong in the way I called the name of the wagon. They were 'Estate Wagon" and Estate Wagon Limited'

This page from the '79 Buick brochure details the differences. The '80 model would probably be similar.

You're right! I totally missed that. It even says "detroit" in the craigslist URL. Dope slap administered!

In some years, Buick sold these as just Estate wagons with LeSabre trim as standard equipment, but upgradeable to Electra trim as an option. In other years -- like 1980 -- they actually sold separate LeSabre Estate wagons and Electra Estate wagons.

See the wagon page in the 1980 full line Buick brochure:

Nice wagon. 1980 was the first year Buick made a model distinction between the LeSabre Estate and Electra Estate.
