We first saw this spectacular Pontiac Grand Safari several years ago. It is still incredible. Has the 403 V8 and virtually every GM factory option available in 1978, including the great Valencia interior option at $370. :bouncy:

Nice Wagon - not sure I could handle the seat pattern early in the morning but the rest of it is beautiful . :coffee:

The auction ends Friday, June 5th, 6:00PM, PST.

As it so happens, I'm travelling to San Francisco on Saturday, May 30th, and will be driving right by where this wagon is at.

If you are interested, and want me to take a look at it for you, please let me know ASAP, so I can make arrangements.

Ok. Search of the old thread showed the BIN in 2013 was $8800, which was reached very quickly. (Thanks, Krash.) Watching bidding in 2015 should be very interesting.

I agree it will be interesting to see what it sells for.
My 78 Catalina is Loaded in my opinion, and after a quick look at the pictures I can see this car has the 6.6 Liter engine, Safety Track axle, Remote passenger side mirror, AM/FM Cassette, front and rear bumper gaurds, Rally II Wheels, and factory air.
The only thing my car has that this one does not are the economy gauge in place of the clock (and that is a wash as its an either option) and the towing package with HD suspension.
That is on top of the grand Safari package, and of course the interior.
    Still a great looking car.

If only it had a 400 it would be perfect.

I hear you on that, that's the same thing I say about my 78 with the Buick 350
