Why would the 400 be better than the 403?

Also, I'm surprised at the slow bidding so far.

Pontiac engines in Pontiac cars. I don't care what GM was doing after 1977 regarding their corporate strategy of putting any engine in any model being "factory." I want a Pontiac v8 in my Pontiac car and anything else I consider to be inferior. I won't buy anything that doesn't have one, and if I end up getting one that doesn't have one out the Olds or Chevy comes for a Pontiac 350-400-455.

I understand what you are saying, but this particular car doesn't have an Olds 403 because on GM Marketing, it was the state of California Emissions regulations.
I would prefer the 400 Pontiac for the reasons you stated, plus the fact they are easier to buy parts for (including high performance parts) to me they are easier to work on, add the fact that I am used to them and I have a stash of common replacement parts.
Not saying the 403 Olds is a bad engine, just not the right one for me.

Doesn't make it any better for me. Pontiac v8 in a Pontiac car ;-)

The only exception I make is for the 1980's Parisienne, I'll gladly take an Olds 307 over the Chevy 305.

The previously damaged left tail light lens has been repaired/replaced now. Check the earlier video/photos. (Missing/broken horizontal chrome-look [plastic molding.)

The weak bidding (so far) on this spectacular Pontiac is puzzling. There's likely not another one like her anywhere, and it very quickly went higher for BIN for $8800 in 2013. :hmmm: Thoughts, gang?

Still so slow with three and a half days left to bid on such a very, very rare '70s Pontiac Safari station wagon ?

Strange to see the clock in the center of the gauges, with the mph to the left. Nice looking car.

I hadn't noticed that. That is pretty funny, I think. It's like the designers are saying that the time of the day is the most important thing the driver needs to know. It's not a very good location for anyone else in the car to see it, either. (Kind of reminds me of the early '70s Fords that had the radio way up on the left side of the dash where only the driver could reach it.) Any clock ought to be easily visible to someone in the passenger seat as well.
