Shown with three different sets of wheel covers. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/4798666912.html
I like the original wheel covers the best. I like the Thunderbird covers, but they don't really fit the looks of this car.
I saw one like this in October. It was parked in Natrona Heights - Same color. So, here's the description: "I am the third owner of a well kept 1978 Ford LTD Country Squire. Has been in the Chicago region most of it's life but rarely driven in the winter months, so there is no major rust. Floors, doors, fenders, rocker panels are solid with vary little or no surface rust. Out fitted with a 400m CID power plant backed by a FMX 3 speed automatic transmission. The transmission was rebuilt about three years ago by Crystal Lake transmission. They have done a fair amount of work for me, no issues ever with the rebuilds. Brakes are tight and true, replaced both calipers and master in 2008. Tires replaced in 2010. A/C works and has been retro fitted to the more modern freon. Water pump, hoses, radiator have all been replaced in 2010. Tune up (plugs, wires, cap & rotor) done in 2010. Steering box replaced in 2010 from leaking seals. Carburetor was rebuilt in 2008 when I first took delivery of it. Also fuel pump was replaced at the same time. Cruise control works just fine. So dose the heater, core was replaced in 2011. Front end, ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings are tight and have no play. I drive this out of state with out any worry, from Wis, Iowa, and down state to my old college. This gentle giant has never let me down, nor left me stranded. I am a Volvo/Mercedes tech, so everything but the transmission has done by me. Has some minor leaks but nothing that would worry me. On start up, puffs some oil and goes away with in a minute. Idles rough when below freezing but I never drive it in the summer, just start it to run the fluids and get it hot. I am asking $5,550 OBO. Wagon is stored off site from my home. Seen my appointment only." That part I underlined looks like a bit of a mistake there, I think he meant winter. Here are the rest of the photos unless he adds more:
Fairly low option: base interior, no power windows or locks or 3rd seat but does have cruise control.
After reading the original ad text again, I just realized that this wagon belongs to a former-active member Johnny (FordWagonNut1979). He just posted on FB that the wagon's going to France.........
