No sale? Why? The 351 V8 makes this CP wagon that much more appealing. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4765430505.html
This car is a beauty! The only thing I would do is switch out the 14 inch wheels for the optional 15s. 225/75R14 tires are HARD to find! As an aside to those American members who tell me I don't know my late-80s 351s in Canada, THIS is the 351 that puts out the numbers you keep quoting at me. The 351W got the same going through as the 302 for 1985, and the output is a LOT higher.
Well in defense of our American members and personally having owned a 1980 351 Colony with factory leather, no 84 was not the first year for it as you claimed in a recent thread.... what are you referring too this time as for numbers, 35 MPG again......? have a nice day, 5:35 AM, out the door I go, see ya tonight
Please feel free to post any legitimate links to information showing how much the carbureted passenger car 351W made from '79-'91. I don't even feel like looking up how anemic the 351W is in stock form in my car. Oh what the hell: 180hp @ 3600 rpm 285 ft-lbs. @ 2400 rpm Even the vaunted 351W EFI Lightning engine only made 240hp.
So do I, for $1500 I'd be all over it as I have all ways wanted another early Colony (any Colony) but "location, location, location"............
Many more pics. This '79 Colony Park looks better than ever for the price. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4765430505.html
I called about it. The seller said this: The rear-quarter panel on the Driver's side is rusted through; It could use a waxing; The cruise control doesn't work; The headliner was stapled up by another owner; It doesn't have the rear-seats; Also comes with a roof-rack (It's not a flat-roof It has a newer carburetor on it; Steam was coming out of the vents when the heater is on, so he thinks the heater core may be going.; It has dual-exhaust from the sounds of it as he mentioned two catalytic converters; The dashboard isn't cracked; The spare tire cover is sun-faded; All the windows work He mentioned some spare parts such as switches and a shop manual. Not a bad price IMHO, though it's probably over 300 miles from me and he said it should pass inspection here as I don't need emissions tested; He wasn't sure about emissions. It sounds like a good opportunity for someone.
You're welcome. Also, there's a bit of paint chipped away around the roof-rack bolt on areas. ... Also, that winking smiley wasn't intended. I meant to put a semicolon within the brackets but it didn't work.
