with a Chevy 350. I really liked that car. A number of years ago someone was selling a brown 72 Kingsman with around 60,000 miles for $6000. I think that had a 400 and wood grain decals (Dads was solid brown). Sometimes I wish I had bought that car. I also really like the Buick Roadmasters from the 90s with the nice leather interior. Both of these cars would be faster than an 80s Caprice, but I think my favorite looking is the 80s body style I have so I'll just stick with that.
I think you mean "Kingswood". Sounds like the one you are talking about is a Kingswood Estate. The Estate had woodgrain.
The Kingswood was the Impala wagon (no woodgrain) and the Kingwood Estate was the Caprice wagon which had woodgrain (like mine that can be seen in my avatar).
There is a way around the lack of power with the 80s wagons. A proper V-8 fits right under that hood! When the 305 or 307 needs changing, a 350 will nestle there like it was made for the car, and that solves all the performance and fuel economy problems in one easy step.
