400 V8. Looks like it might actually be a 1971 model based on the wheel covers, but the two pics in the ad are so lame, it's impossible to tell. Whatever year, it does sounds promising if actually garage kept from new.

1972 Classic Kingswood Estate Chevrolet Caprice. Excellent condition, low mileage (58,850), leather seats, 400 V8 /engine, factory air conditioner, AM & FM 8 tract radio. Garage kept since new. $5900.

This looks like a first class low mileage clamshell with what is becoming to be the almost entry level price for a clean example. It looks to me that they don't quite know what they have in today's market and may seem happy with this price, if only because of the lackluster advertising details.

I emailed them for more info. Not a huge fan of the 71 fronts but for the price how could you not buy it

I had been working on this one last week, somewhat local to me. It is sold...not to me. Someone got it before I could get there. Probably headed to some dealer so they can jack up the price.

Nothing like the old "8 tract" radio.

    I think it is a 1972.

lol. Nothing like leather seats that are really vinyl. :)

Well I knew that one wouldn't last long @ that price. We will see it again soon listed on here for $13,000. ;) OR we may see it a couple of years from now stripped, headed for a derby.

If this car wasn't sold (as stated), I would actually try to buy it. If I did, I would sell my big block '72 Kingswood Estate. I like the colors on this wagon better.

JWD, you were late posting this one! LOL j/k!

It has been on here for 8 days, I would have bought it had I known it was for sale. :D

Thanks for sharing all of these though, you save us a lot of time! One of these days you will post one that I can grab before it is gone. :)

Ah, it is ok... cannot win them all. It saved me from spending $6k anyway. lol. I would love to have it though. Looks like it needs much less body work than mine does and I like the tan interior. I am not a fan of the black interior in my car, though it is nearly mint.

Someone said it was, but ad is still up. I had actually emailed the seller before I had read it was sold. I haven't received a reply, so not sure. I am sure a flipper bought it and will try to double their money.

Keep a good thought, 72KingswoodEstate! :pub:

To quote a great action 1972 movie directed by Sam Peckinpah (appropriately), "The Lord loves a cheerful giver!" (MAJOR points if anyone can identify the film and the actor who said the line.)

From my communication with the seller, it is sold. I saw the ad on Thursday of last week and emailed for more info. I received prompt responses and was working on making arrangements to get cash and come down last Saturday to check it out. He contacted me Friday to say it was sold and I double checked with him that everything was complete on Tuesday.

I was just too slow.
