OMG http://eastky.craigslist.org/cto/4908206234.html "85 Ford country squire. Bagged on all four corners. Flat paint yellow paint done right with lots of pinstripes aged to look old. The car needs shock up front, it has a Mexican blanket over the front seat and it needs painted on the inside of door jambs to finish it out. (I have paint left) Or drive it like it is. The car runs great. May trade on older VW Beetle. Price is firm $3500 so don't ask if I would take less. It wont take but a weekend and a few dollars to finish out this ride for cruise season and you can drive it as you finish it. 6063750661 Tags: Beetle, Bug, VW, Volkswagen, Volksrod, Hoodride "
Poor old wagon! . Too bad, too. It was a well equipped example, having both cornering lamps and vent windows.
Looks like a "South of the boarder" taxi..... IMO, you slam a wagon like that, ya better plan on keepin it!
I can't see it. But don't most people do the door jambs before the paint and stripping? That was a shock to me. How much less will you take?
That is the first time I have ever seen vent windows on a mid 80s Ford wagon. Any more info on these vent windows?
The vent windows and cornering lamps were regularly seen factory options at the time. This is from the 1985 Ford brochure.
Here's a pic of a Country Squire with the option in the '85 wagon brochure: This page from the '83 Crown Victoria mentions it....
Hey, that aging thing isn't so unpopular on guitars. Fender guitars actually have a "Relic" Line: Ask the people who buy them.
Now that the photos came up on that "Yellow Cab" my guess is it is a recent repaint and they sanded the runs out. That left the "patina" look. The body does look nice and straight on this one.
In 1989, the vent windows were a $187 option. I remember because they were $2 more than the price of the 351.
