I put a 2000 Olds Bravada center console with shifter in my '94 Buick Roadmaster wagon Memorial Day weekend. I love this set up, changes the whole feel of the car.
About a month ago I put a '98 Lincoln Towncar rear sway bar on my Roadmaster, which work great. I know Ford parts on a Buick....:naughty:, but ding dang the whale handles a little better now!

i can see it now, Many parking lot double takes as guys walk by, and see that shifter in a wagon. " HOly Cow.. I didnt know they put a floor shifter in wagons!... Hey commere and look at this!"

Just wish you could have found a beige boot instead of the black one.. but still looks like it came from GM that way!

ok well for future reference all you need is the consol out of a bravada or envoy and a 2nd passenger seat for your caprice.

I love this build! I know that I'm asking this about 12 years later but could you provide further guidance on doing this swap? I want to do the exact same thing you did with the floor shift conversion. I even have the same shifter and center console that you used. Any help would be very much appreciated! -Max

I don't know if he'll have anything else; he hasn't been on-site in over 5 1/2 years. Doesn't mean he won't be back, we have seen members come back after several years, but no way to know if they will.

Both are very popular mods on these GM wagons. That console/shifter installation looks like it was straight from the factory.....

    Maxs95,
Sorry for not responding a year ago… Jeeze, it’s been a while since I’ve been on this forum.
I just sold my wagon to a good friend yesterday. Sad day for me…., but the trans had no forward gears, and the rust had taken it toll, 321,514 miles later.
As far as the console swap:
Check the GM Longroof forum. I did a write up on one I did on my buddy Tim’s BRMW.
