Stopped by a show today and was surprised to see a few wagons. Most I had never seen before.

Its about a 3 hour drive to the beach. Think I should get a surfboard for my wagon?

Thanks. Those are some great looking station wagons. I suppose I should take my two old surf boards to Illinois when I move. Seems mandatory for wagon shows.
We'll only be a few miles from the river. Surf's up everytime a tugboat pushes a barge upstream.:D

Another attraction at the car show on Sunday, as well as the weekly Saturday cruise in at the same location the day before, was this B-17 that kept taking off and flying over the parking lot as it climbed away from the nearby Manassas Airport. Its one of several WWII era planes that are in the area to participate in a flyover of Washington, DC on Friday May 8th for the anniversary of V-E Day. This was not the only WWII plane we saw take off during the show, and the cruise in Saturday, but it was the only one I heard soon enough to get my camera ready for. The planes were not part of the car show. They were just a bonus. Heres a link if you are interested in reading about the flyover. Some of the planes will be flying out of the Manassas Airport, while many of the smaller ones are using the Culpepper Airport about 30 miles further south.

Theres not a whole lot of wagons at the weekly Saturday cruise in, but this 63 is there every now and then. The owner alternates bringing his 63 wagon and a 50's Studebaker pickup.

Joe, the owner of this 62 F-85, is a member here, and shows up when the Oldsmobile club comes to the Saturday cruise in.

Last Saturday, a friend of mine who has an Italian built Mini Cooper badged as an Inocenti came to thecruise in and got a buddy of his to come along with this Inocenti wagon.
