Sweet Longroof , a close look at some of these pics don't add up as some areas appear to been freshened up with paint(heads of bolts not touched up), rust stain behind the ID tag, maybe new carpet/interior and a not so flashy ashtray are just few  from Downuder

Very nice! I could certainly overlook a few minor blemishes.

i was wondering about the wide whites. Checked the '61 Ford brochure, and what this wagon has is correct for the year. Also checked the '62 brochure. Down from 3" to 2" for 1962. I like the 2" jobs much better..

    '62 brochure page:

    (I didn't embed it because it's HUGE....)

Bidding is up to $28,500 and reserve still not met. I think the seller might end up being unhappy that he didn't take the money and run.

Somebody put some money into this one. Not sure how much. I'm thinking that the $28k bid on it now is near the limit.

One thing frequently missed on these '61's (as well as the '60's) is how well the Ford stylists integrated the outside door handles into the upper body side moldings. Gives them a very clean look.

Probably has a Power Tail Gate Glass, but yeah, it is mis-leading.

Heck of a price so far. It's a real nice car, but I will be passing on it...

Well, it went all the way to $39,800 and Reserve has still not been met. The auction ended last night.

Like many of us I'm sure, wondering what "was" the Reserve ??

That's just plain crazy. :90: The car would have to be perfect to be worth that much - and I don't think this car will turn out to be perfect when viewed in person. Look at the rear cargo area, for one thing. And see Dennis' comments too.
