    Hi everyone

Live here in the Shenandoah Valley of VA,
Drive a Mini Cooper Clubman, don't think it really qualifies as a wagon?
In the past we have owned 6 Wagons: 78 Pontiac Grand Safari; 83 Olds Ciera; 82 Ford LTD Crown Victoria; 88 Colony Park and 2 Audi A6's.

I am looking for 88; 89 or 1990 Colony Park or Buick Estate - has to be in better than average condition, Interior has to be complete and in very good condition. faded wood and repaint is ok

So if anyone has one to sell let me know, thanks

Welcome aboard from another member in Virginia. Good luck on your search. A buddy of mine near Winchester has a Clubman with the black and white checkboard roof treatment. Guessing that's not you. Where are you in the valley?

Harrisonburg, Mini is pepper white, black stripes and roof. drive up and down 81 daily, bought the Mini for gas mileage - car is fast; fun, funky but loud, road/engine noise.

Other car is 08 CLK350 convert that now sits and will sell when I find my wagon. everyone thinks I'm nuts for giving my the Mercedes for an older wagon, and perhaps they are correct - but oh well

Welcome aboard. Good luck in your wagon search. I am located just a little north of you, close to Winchester.

Welcome to the Station Wagon Forums, MAK!

First, check out this Colony Park I saw in the Grand Rapids, Michigan Craig's List:

Next, we've got some wagons in common.

    - You owned a '78 Pontiac Grand Safari. I own a '81 Bonneville Safari
    - You owned a '88 Mercury Colony Park. I owned (for about a week) a '84 Colony Park. It burned up in Las Vegas the second week I had it due to an electrical short. This was back in 1989.
    - You've owned 2 Audi A6 Avants. Back in 2005, I owned a 2000 A6 Avant for a while. Very, very expensive to maintain.........replaced it with a Ford Focus wagon. :rofl2:

    Glad to have you here!

    Thanks

I saw this - engine too souped up for me, and your right once the warranties are up on an Audi - just bring cash a lot of cash!
Not many generic parts work so you're forced to buy Audi -
Air Bag sensor part $798.00 labor $150 a cool grand or car can't pass inspection here in VA - that's when I tossed in the towel

    :Welcome: aboard Mark!

I know what you mean about the expensive foreign car parts like your Audi. I see you have a exhorbintant maintenance cost MB also? I have my wife's E320 wagon and both daughters have used MB sedans....Oi!:slap: they get pricey to keep on the road.

I am living the dream! wife drives 2011 ML350, and my other car is an 08 CLK350 Convert, plus the Mini cooper - which costs the same a bimmer to fix.

1st car I owned was a 70 GTO convert. yeah gotta love 6mpg on the highway - then went to a 72 Alfa and then 74 Alfa spyder - and I can still remember how much it cost to keep those Alfa's running and that was in the 70's!

Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home. One of our members is selling a 90 (I think) Colony Park. It looks to be in wonderful shape, and has certainly been well cared for and well loved. There is a thread here:

    www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=6

Since the car is now advertised, it is safe to say it is up for sale now. It would certainly be worth a look. As you can see, it really is a beauty!

    also new

just signed up a few minutes ago and found intro's closed. Recently traded for a
56 ford ranchwagon, 292 standard, mostly stock except had to change out the distributor last week, and some aftermarket wheels with 205 60's which are not good for the stock 4.10 gears. Plans call for replacing previously repaired rocker panels on both sides and back seat floor pans which were crudely repaired. Really want a BW t85 with OD trans too. Some 235 75 tires would
help too. Hope I am in the right thread
