I remember reading the last AMC convention you went to, both the Ambassador and Wagoneer won awards. Did that happen this time as well?

The show went well. We were the only two wagons there. Matt's Wagoneer won an award in the Jeep class. The trip did n;t start out as planned. My Dad (86) was going to meet us there, but his ride had to cancel at the last minute, so Rick (hubby) left a day early in the Rambler to pick him up. We followed the next day, driving with a friend who was taking his car. Dad, Rick and the car arrived OK, but there was a lot of rain and we discovered some leaks in the headliner. (YIKES).

VERY nice show - lots of nice cars and good company - we drove back Suday with another friend - I've decided I really enjoy driving the cars to these things. It's fun to get them out and about. JUst missed the snow storm on the way home. The Rambler did over 1,000 miles in a weekend and ran strong ...and FAST....

I will post some pixs in a day or so.

    Thanks for asking!

Congrats on the Jeep; surprised the Rambler didn't get anything. That's such a phenomenal wagon.

Thanks, guys - but there were some truly remarkable cars there, and in my division, too, inc. a restored Rebel Machine and a 67 fully restored Marlin - both rare cars.

I usually post photos via Villagephotos but that site seems to be down - I'll need to set up a Photobucket account, I think.

:D I wish I had a dollar for every time I shoved one of these can opening/pouring devices (name?) into an old style oil can when I was a kid working at my dad's gas station!!:D Wonder if they still make those things??
    Thanks for the pix, Suzanne!
