im steve and I have a problem..... im addicted to cars... any and all are not safe... I like the oddballs the most.. anyhow, I thought id say hey as a new member... I do have a wagon... 73 pinto to be exact... turned into a panel, and has a 2.3 turbo with 5 speed.... around 250 to the wheels and gets 27 mpg... thanks for having me...
Welcome, Steve! That's a nice little rig you've got there - and I'll bet your total investment in it is not all that much. Question: I know the engine is from a Turbo 'Bird, vintage '84+ or so. But would the 5-speed trans also transfer over without mods to the tunnel?
ive got about 6500 in it... lots of mods, tranny is t5 and only mod was trimming shifter hole 2 inches forward to make it fit and a little mod to the crossmember... other than that its a bolt in deal...engines got a good bit of mod work done.. head work, cam intakes exhaust... its running megasquirt with 85lb injectors, holset turbo from dodge cummins... lot of fun... its been 13.10 on street tires and low boost... its a mid 12 car on slicks and 18 lbs of boost... the red one behind it is a 10 second car with a similar but stronger setup.. thanks for the welcome

thanks, sold both the bikes and now just have 9 cars.....hehe....73 pinto wagon, 75 pinto coupe, 72 gmc ramp truck, 72 f100 project set up for mod motor with jag rear end, 76 mustang cobra, 08 Chrysler 300, 97 exploder, 99 Tahoe and 01 Saturn...oh the madness......6 have tags and insurance, and only 2 don't run currently...
There is hope! I no longer have any motorcycles and I don't spend all my time in the garage messing with cars now. Sometimes I still dream about them. But I think I'll get over it. Keeps me out of the bars and away from wild wimmin. Good luck on your toys.
the cobra..... its in pieces right now.... doing a ground up on it... was a v6 4 speed, its going to be 2.3 turbo 5 speed around 200 horse set up for road course but street legal.. white with blue stripes and white interior...16 inch saleen mesh rims lowered front and rear, oversized swaybars, and hoping for high 20s to low 30s for mpg...just smoothed the engine compartment getting ready to paint that and get the front suspension installed along with the motor and tranny, then on to the rest of the body work and paint...
that's funny,,, the wagon recently dined on Porsche and 03 stang gt...they did not think it was cute..... this seems like a pretty friendly board...yall got some nice wagons here...
