That is a rare example! From the pics of the body it does not look that bad, interior is lacking, seat, dash crack.... but the air cleaner on the rear seat? Why? Whats wrong?

I know, makes you wonder whats under the hood...... Would it realy have screwed 10 seconds of your life that you would never get back to haul the garbage out, even if the interior is rouph.

Gorgeous wagon! I would love to see this one cleaned up and road worthy!

Granted, not the best ad (a vacuum cleaner was not available?), but still a very rare bird of a car and not badly optioned. It has factory cruise, 8-track stereo, deluxe wheel covers and dual remote mirrors (and that's just what we can see). :)

I look at that wagon and imagine myself rollin' down the highway with the windows down, cream soda at the ready, and Johnny Cash blastin' away...

Oh, and what's that I see hiding on the other side of it? :D

    I'm guessing a 73-75 Chevy Malibu wagon??

LOL. I know! I thought the same thing! I mean I would have said it was nice other than the driver seat! :)

This car is in my neck of the woods! This car is about 30 miles from me. Too bad it is not a '73 Country Squire, or I would be trying to get the $ somehow to buy it! It is a rare car though! Hopefully will get a good home. *I also notice that it has the optional interval wipers! I wonder how unusual that was for the Monterey?

    The pics look recent.

I also noticed the other wagon to the side... I wonder how many other wagons are looming around there? :)

Looking at this ad would make me want to bypass this one completely. If the seller can't even care to spend 10 minutes to clean up the vehicle a bit before taking the pics, how much care did he put into maintaining it? Answer - NONE.

I noticed the interval wipers as well. Probably very rare indeed on a Monterey. We've seen Colony Parks without them. The body looks solid enough, and most of the interior is not bad. Mechanically, these cars are bog-simple. Could be a great car to own, and certainly one you won't see every day of the week!

If you notice the wiper switch on the lower left side of the instrument panel you can see it has a longer selection and has "off, int, low, high" on the switch. I can spot this option on these cars. :)

Very true... it was a rare option on the early 70s models especially. I am sure it was a rarely seen option on the base Monterey.

I was going to ask about that too... Most people don't have a spare one of those for you, in the deal. For the most part, it looks like a good deal for the money... But, for me, it's too far away. Maybe if I was rich like Wayne Carini---
