I am not sure about the clock, it may be on of those with the rolling numbers. I do also notice that it has another option I didn't notice before... it appears to have a factory tape player.

Yeah, I remember how this one kept boasting about "nice upholstery", but the front seat having tears and the dash having a crack. Other than those two area, it appears to be nice, so maybe that is what the seller is referring to, lol. Not sure what damage lurks under that air cleaner housing on the rear seat... maybe nothing, but who knows.

Me too! Now at an even reduced $2400, it is an even better deal. If it were a Colony Park, I would grab it, especially since it is so local. I wouldn't even mind having this one despite the lack of wood-grain, because it is not too often you see an old wagon around here. If I had the extra cash and space I would get it. Everytime I see one it is well away from here, lol.

I am not a fan of the hubcaps on this particular car, I think they look better on the Colony Park wagon (seen below). I think this car would look good with the standard wheel covers as seen on the car in the two bottom pics...

Price has dropped again to $1800. This Merc wagon is in bargain basement price range at this point.

If I sell my Mercedes this weekend, I may have to check this one out. :)

The hubcaps would be the first thing to go. Those look OK on a Marquis, but look out of place on the Monterey.

How I wish it was a Colony Park. ;)

    Let us know, 72KingswoodEstate! :yup:

If you do get it, save the factory deluxe wheel covers! They are worth something now 40 years later!

I've been really tempted to go and look at this one. I'm curious to know what it might look like after a good wash/wax and a good interior cleaning.

    What a steal!

I agree and was wondering the same thing. I had considered this car as well, as it is fairly close to me, but with money needed to restore my Chevy wagon, it is out of the question unless I sold another vehicle of mine. I am selling my "new" car, or trading it, but if I sell I am using that as down payment for a new car, but MAY be persuaded to take some of that to buy another wagon, lol. Seriously I love this old Mercury, but I am more of a fan of wood-grained wagons. If it were a Colony Park or Country Squire, I would grab it in an instant. I hope it gets a good home. I am surprised that a flipper hasn't picked it up, or worse someone wanting it for the engine or to derby it. :(

Man, I wish I had the space and extra funds. Being 4 hours from me, I'd be all over this.
