This link will take you to my Flickr account, & the pics of my 64 Plymouth Wagon. I have had this car for a couple years, slowly gathering parts for it's "restification" Plans are for it to be a nice driver, and taking it on the Hot Rod Power Tour either next year or the year after. The previous owner had already swapped out the rear end for a newer one, and installed power disc brakes. 64's have pressed on brake drums on the rear, and while they function very good, are a P.I.T.A. to work on. a 65 to 70 Mopar B body rear (drum to drum) will bolt right in, doing away with the pressed on drums. www.flickr.com/photos/maxwedge11/sets/72157619622852944
Great! the link worked. The interior is trashed, but all there. Engine & trans work, but just barely. I bought a failed project (64 Fury) & kept the newly rebuilt 318 & trans. The engine & trans are pictured on Flickr, & they are being installed shortly, as soon as the paint in the newly repainted engine bay dries. I'm going to check on it tomorrow, and will take a few pics.
good lookin wagon shame it sat so long outside , but from your photos you have a fantastic base for a great project
Just checked in with the body shop/mechanics. Nice progress! Engine bay painted, rebuilt engine/trans installed, re-cored radiator in place. Rusted section of cowl cut out, inner cowl repaired. Looking very good!
Things are coming together! Caught a sale at Legendary, & ordered carpet & seat upholstery. Monday, it will be delivered to the exhaust man for new dual exhaust. Then I get the car back to work whatever bugs I find out. Here comes the fun part!!!!!
Congratulations this has got to be very exciting for you. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima Do you have this info in the car show listings?
A couple new pics on the link above. Finally heard it run yesterday. SWEET!!!! the engine sounds great, and the new duals are even sweeter. body work will be started shortly. The old girl has a little rust & a few dents to tackle. More updates to follow.
Time to get this thread rolling again. After many set backs, the wagon is getting the body work taken care of. Will be taking pics & posting them soon. After the passing of my good friend & body guy last year, I've been looking for a new Body guy. At present I'm trying out one now. Keeping my fingers crossed that this turns out good.
Body work under way & progressing nicely. i have a link to my Flickr account on the first page, click on it. The wagon pics have been updated.
