Welcome, Charles. Good choice on looking for that '63 Fairlane Country Squire. IMO, one of the cleanest-styled Ford wagons there was from the 60's. Looks almost like a 90% sized big 63' C.S., except for those little fins. Someone here may have one - not sure. In any event, there's lots of Fairlane / Torino owners here. Check out our links for ways to search for your wagon. Those ones that allow you to search nationwide on Craig's List are very helpful. Yeah - be prepared to 'go the distance' to find your right wagon. Feel free to join in our discussions, too.

Here a couple eBay auctions for 63 Fairlane wagons that just recently closed without selling. I've seen both of these before, so since they didn't sell again, they will probably come up again. However, neither is a Squire, and one is basically a drag car done up as a Thunderbolt. But you might get an idea of prices, condition, and availibility of what's out there. Good luck!

CT, Welcome. The '63's are some of the nicest; I'm not surprised you're committed to that year. I don't think you'll find a cleaner one than the one SF found, but like he asked, how much are you willing to spend on it?

63 was the first year for the mid size Fairlane wagons. The 62 Fairlane was only available as a 2 door post sedan and a 4 door post sedan. I'm guessing your 62 is either a 63 with a 62 front clip, or a 62 full size Ford wagon.

Hard to tell in the shadow of the photos, but it appears to be that old non metallic beige/brownish/ off white color that was so common on 60's Fords and Mopars. The color unofficially known as Old Man Tan.

    Old Man Tan?

I had a '63 Fairlane 2-dr hardtop when I was in college, the color was called Champagne Beige - my mom referred to it as "****te' Beige"...
