For a couple weeks now I've been humming and hawwing about selling my 65 GMC. I'm not selling it yet because rite now there seems to be to many to chose from local. But at least I've learned what a decent asking price is because of the ones for sale local. Now if only they would leave I'd have less compition:rofl2:

    $3250
Malahat (including Shawnigan Lake & Mill Bay) (View Map)

1966 Chevrolet Suburban. This is a running driving truck. It is powered by a 327 backed by a 4 speed. It has minor rust in floor. It is an excellent candidate for a Restoration, Custom Hot Rod, Rat Rod or to just drive as is.

Without seeing a whole lot more here's my 2 cents.

If everthing on your truck looks like the outside, noting that you have a factory chrome rear bumper and front with overiders, $5,000 to $8,000 would be in the ball park. The other examples aren't in the same league.

    :thumbs2:

Dam, thanx for the coment!....I wish!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima I think the old girl is in the $3500ish ball park. She is solid, no rattles driving, all doors close with that sound of 'CLICK" I'm closed and you don't have to slam them, drives straight and brakes straight, box is really solid complete with origonal wood deck, cab is getting some bubble on the rockers and cab corners but I can't poke a poke a hole in it yet. Frame is great, drivers front fender has a hole at the bottom, drivers door bottom getting to that point, pasenger front fender bottom could have a hole if you poked it. I have 2 solid steel fenders for it, a new drivers door bottom, and 2 fiberglass front fenders also. Still has the origonal GMC AM radio in it + a under dash CD, speakers and sterio junk under the seat from the last owner. 1 Year old Goodyear Wranglers by me, the 250 inline is almost bone stock except for updated ignition and alternator, 3 on the tree with 2 year old clutch. No speedo cable and one windshield wiper arm broke, thats the only thing wrong. The truck is turn key zoom, zoom.....untill a transit bus blows you off the line:oops::biglaugh:

I also have for it not installed yet a brand ne NOS GMC factory rubber floor mat complete with horse hair padding, still in the factory box, a GMC kleenex box holder for under the dash, in cab rear view mirror, GMC Custom Cab emblims, and a bucnch of other misc items. Stearing wheel is not origonal, truck has a 60 chevy impala stearing wheel (looks nice in there), inside of cab was painted also to match body

....she's a 30 footer, I think $3500 is in the ball park if you saw it.:yup:

I'm just going to wait when there is no compitition, then I'll probobly put her up for sale.

Norms got a point, arm strong stearing, brakes, 3 on the tree, shifting, while turning a corner, using a cane for the clutch, all at the same time.....if I was 20 years old again no problem.:rofl2:

Heck, I learned a long time ago that steering, double clutchin' and aiming is about all I can do at one time. I tried to talk on the cell phone once. I learned that lesson real fast.

I'm lucky if I can chew gum and walk safely.....:biglaugh:

I wasn't implying that Tedy do anything to the truck but to me it's a lot better than the examples for sale in the area.

I wouldn't like to be locked down like that. But right now, that's his job, and its worth doin'.

I can't multi-task, but at times I sure look like I do.

Tedy, what gives? I know things are a little tight, and you got the bum leg, but that can't be why you'd send the Jimmy down the road.
    I mean, it's not a FORD, but it's still a classic.

    Well...
If you do sell, I know where there is a running 78 F-250 crew cab that you could get for $300.
    Just sayin.
Hope things improve so you don't have to let it go bud.

Well Orth, I took her out today, first time since late July. She flashed rite up (I had'nt even started it since then) but sounded off, that fouled spark plug kinda off so I gave her the old school "clean the plugs" tune up and problem solved. Gave her fresh rad juice and oil/filter also. What a comedy show, me getting the truck on ramps and getting under the truck:slap::biglaugh:!!

Did a short trip, taking my honey to the mall and yeah.....I can't sell it and even more so I can't Auto tranny it just because. When we got home my honey knew and said "Go for a drive", so I did. In town stop and go clutching was a bit difficult and I had to use my cane for the clutch coming home because........ Now I'm on a nice country back road, shift into 3rd and hear a metal on metal when I droped my foot of the peddle...I look and the clutch peddle is apx 2 inches higher so I pull over to WTF. The rubber bushing that stops the peddle failed and sperated in 2 pieces. Lifting my leg that extra couple inches was a B****:taz: I had no choice when I got back to town traffic but to use my cane for the clutch:slap:. I'm all fixed now, I double nuted a 5/16 nut 'n' bolt to the bracket. It works perfect but even with some electrical tape on the bolt head you hear it now. I'll do a better repair once I find a 1/2 thick peice of rubber.

Yeah, I like my truck.....I prefer it in bad weather also, I've almost always drove it in bad weather over the wagons.
