    Hi everyone!

My name is Phil, I have been in love with wagons for a long, long time. I am from san diego, ca and i work in the IT industry. I'm 23.

My dad started me in on them, he built a 78 fairmont wagon with a 5.0/5-speed and dash out of an 86 mustang, about 15 years or so ago. We took lots of trips in it, it is a fun car. We sold it about 10 years ago and recently found it again about 3 years ago. We call it the "musmont"

My dad built another wagon after the first one, this time based on the LTD body, a 1984 wagon to be exact. It has a 89 mustang 5.0/aod setup, and a 87 dash/console swap. It is called the 'haus due to the custom plate my dad put on to go along with our house, also named seahaus.

Currently I drive the 'haus as my daily driver. It is a lot of fun and suprises everyone.

here is a pic of musmont:

aaand a pic of the seahaus:

it is nice to find a group of wagon people online!

    :party3:Yah!
Another Fairmont guy. I'm too busy driving mine around to get any real work done it.
Just in case you didn't know, there are a couple of Fairmont websites out there, one of which is:
    http://groups.msn.com/FAIRMONT302/scratchpad.msnw
Crappy msn forum without any search function, but some of the guys really know their 302 swaps.
I envy your old man, do you have any plans for the cars?

thanks for the site recommendations HandyAndy. my main source for info is foureyedpride and corral. im also a member of socalstangs which is obviously just a socal forum for stangs.

as far as plans, the 78 is actually for sale, as we have toooo many cars between my parents, me and my brother (10 total at the moment). heres a cl link.

for the haus, we are pretty much just doing basic maintenance and whatnot. it needs a new heatercore, which means ripping out the dash. it also needs an alignment and some other random things. i want to repaint it and get rid of some of the little rust spots that have developed over time. other than that i also want to throw a set of black 03/04 cobra rims on it, i think that would look reeeaaallly hot.

edit: aaaand heres a shot of my weekend toy:

its a 88 lx 5.0/aod with HCI, subframes, RCAs, springs, 5-lug/4-wheel disk conversion, mac exhaust, etc. it is a LOT of fun. unfortunatelly it isnt in running condition as the front passenger brake started locking up on me randomly so im pulling the brake system apart to swap to 13" cobra brakes (was the loncoln mark vii setup before)

The 5.0 wagon is really cool... Never thought of putting a stang dash in another fox car...

squatch, both wagons are efi mustang 5.0's. both have stang dashes, though i prefer the 86 style dash in the musmont as it looks sportier and more closely matches the original dash. foxes are EXTREMELY interchangeable so most everything will swap.

Welcome to the forums Phil. I really like your sleeper wagons with the Mustang touch.

we sold the musmont this past weekend to some cool guys from east san diego. new owner says he is gonna clean up the body, paint it flat black, and put airbags on it, then do some old-skool pin striping on it. he will send us pics when its done.
