Okay, so you have seen the news pics. Just thought I'd share some which I took today at the Brisbane Autoshow in Oz, plus a few extras. Now imagine it with this colour :floor_jack:
Heres a Ford for all you ford fans, though I don't think the XY Falcon GTHO Phase III came in a wagon. This one is for auction next week. Check out the starting bid on the windscreen.
$700,000 Aussie dollars!!! That's like 1.2 million Canuck Bucks! Give me a break. What's that guy smokin'?
The owner is a legend in his own mind. I can see a Royal Rolls Royce from 1937, or a Pope Mobile, but a recent model sedan, even with no mileage. Dreamer.
The Phase III GTHO is very rare and was the last true muscle car before the "Super Car" scare in the late 70s and the Oil Crisis of the 80's that gave us the J car (Camira/Citation etc.). In fact the last one up for auction went for 750K. Here's an article on the rise of Aussie Muscle cars and their supposed good investment potential http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleDetail.aspx?ArticleID=40610&vf=1 which really ****s me. There was a 2007 Ford Falcon GT Cobra there for auction too. All the factory allocations of 400 have been sold and this guy has put his on auction to make a quick buck. Luckily for him, alot of people made a lot of money in the last 20 years and not all of them are that clever. Maybe I just don't get it. Oh and this Valiant Charger is for sale too The quickest car in Oz for quite a few years but I'm not really onto all the stats. better looking than the falcon
It's to bad they don't sell those in Canada. Especially scince the company is owned by GM. You would think that they would be able to cross it over. That AND the UTE.
The tax to import them would be high. I went and looked at a new GTO when they brought them over. They was taxed outside most people income and the last year they were $42,000.00
We should now be under a FTA though. The main problem is justifying them vs. FWD tissue boxes for CAFE requirements (or so my understanding goes)
