Hi folks. Here is an intro to my car. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10390 As you can see there are some areas of old bondo along the upper rear quarter panels. (fins) Everyone I've talked to says it will take sanding and chipping to get it off but I thought I'd see if anyone has a suggestion for an easy way to get the bondo off and see what the metal looks like under there. Thanks and have a great day.
Easy way to remove primer & bondo? is to sell the car. i use air craft stripper. turn it all to soft stuff , that a putty knife can be used.
I am going to have to do the same thing to undo a fiberglass and bondo repair on one of my truck doors. I am going to use a grinder with a wire wheel attachment and/or a 36 or 40 grit flapper wheel disc. Then I will cut out the thin stuff and patch with metal, then skim coat with filler.
