Some of you may know my 97 ford falcon that has been described as a taurus on steriods. I would like to know what peoples thought are on whats too far/ too much when modifing our wagons.

I feel that I am flirting with or going to be past that point in the not to distant future. So what do people think is too far?

We're all for tasteful mods around here.
Wheels are a big issue though.
But your car is, in fact, just that.
Do whatever the heck ya want.

Making it look like a ricer wannabe is WAY to far.

converting to 2 door and making a muscle looka like is very cool.

+1 for it's your car, only you have to like it. No matter what you do there will be people on both sides of the fence. Remember they're only cars and they're supposed to be fun! So have fun with it!

Sheesh Ian, Tasteless looks like one of those chewable vitamins! :rofl2:

But I do like the Licorice on that Mustang. :rofl2: More like quality Greek Ouzo - flavour and a mean bite! :rofl2:

To be honest, I'm not crazy about the mustang either.
It still looks kind of ricey to me.

Too much plastique, Andy? I don't like the plastic headlight lenses on new cars. I'd sure like to find out how to get the yellow tinge out of my backup lenses.

Hard to say with your vehicle, since we're not looking at the finished product, but if you yourself are questioning it, then yes, you are probably getting close to taking it too far. The problem with some guys (like that blue Civic) is that they have no 'internal styling conscious' to tell them when enough is enough. They just keep going.......

I'd actually never heard the term "ricer" before-- just looked it up under google images, and that blue car was in fact the very first result!

Along with 65,700 other eyesores :-(

Where does the term ricer come from? It almost sounds like an asian reference?
