Hello all. Name's John. Like the title says, I am new to the site, but not the wagon world. I started my wagon addiction with a 1993 caprice wagon fully stock unmolested with around 60,000 miles on it. Removed the molding, painted the stock unlettered caprice grill and door handles to match the factory green gray paint. Then bolted on some eagle alloy 212's with a 225/45 and a full air ride kit all hidden in the spare tire well. We came up with that idea on our own, and was probably one of the only ones I had seen like that at the time. This all happened back in like 2000. I like an idiot sold the thing with around 165,000 miles at a local car cruise about three years later, and I haven't been right since. My wife and friends think I'm nuts because I have been through about 20 cars since then, trying to find that one that did it for me again. My collection included a 93 buick roadmaster wagon retro style white with wood, smoothies painted tan to match the wood with chrome rings and caps with some 3" portowalls. Pretty neat, and many more....
Now, I think I have found that one that really does it for me. I just recently bought a 1963 ford fairlane ranch wagon off of CL, and had the balls to ship it from Portland Michigan to Louisville KY. Seems like a pretty cool car so far, and has a really cool look to it already. It has it's issues of course, but is a damn solid start. Anyway, here is a couple off of the ad for sale, and some most recent crappy cell pics from the garage. Getting the horn going right now which was the only thing that did not work for the state inspection, and just installed some whitewalls Let me know what you think.

    John

Welcome John -liking the Fairlane. A friend's mom had a similar white '63, with red-insert side trim. Always liked that it resembles the '63 full size Ford from the front. Congrats.

Nice find John and I'm glad you finally landed with a wagon that you're excited about. It looks to be in fine shape and a great start for your plans. Best of luck with it.
