I need center caps like the ones in this picture. I want to mat black out or dark gun metal my rims also for this look.

    Just a note...
Those wheels that are on the 'Pace Car' Buick are not Buick factory wheels. Those are aftermarket wheels that look similar to the Buick alloys....
Could be American Racing, I'm not sure.

Yes you could be correct Krash....

I knew I should have posted my pic:rednose:

The "rear wheels" on my Buick are "Buick" caps, this is what I'm after, I do remember them on full size 80's Lasabre Turbo Buicks.

I know it's not a good pic of what I'm searching for but they are Buick caps. I only have the 2 and would like 4 new ones.

You know better what they look like than I do, but a quick search on ebaymotors for "buick center cap" turned up a few likely suspects.

Don't know if any of these are what you need. I only went through the first 6 pages or so.

Those are factory wheels, someone must have painted the "insides" black for a different look, which I like. Those center caps are long out of production and are very hard to find, as are the lug nuts that go with them. From what I found out a few years ago those center caps are unique to Buick wagons only, but I couldn't nail down the years they were offered. I think the centers and lugs were only offered in '86, and early '87. I was told by a service manager of a Buick dealer there were a lot of problems with those centers flying off relativity new cars back then. I've been looking for another set of those exact center caps for about 8 years now and have only ever found 1 decent cap, 4 years ago on eBay for $10.00 I think it was. I've never found those lug nuts any where.:banghead3::jumping: I could kick my self for selling those rims, lugs, and centers with my '88 Custom Cruiser back in '99.

My mother had an 85 Electra Estate she bought new with those wheels. I don't think the whole time she owned it there were ever 4 center caps on it at once. Thy were constantly flying off and I'm not sure there were any left when she got rid of the car.

    What 200OZ said.
I have been in that car and know the guy that owned it and did the work on it before the present owner bought it. Those are the original wheels painted with dark argent. Those center caps ARE hard to get. The guy had 3 and it took him a year or so to find the 4th.

I thought those wheels on the pace car wagon were exclusive to the Buick Grand National.

That's where I saw them before! They're Buick wheels then...

There's still some A/M wheels out there in the 70's that look almost identical to those on that 'Pace Car' wagon, just without the black paint.

This is not a Buick rim, but a good close comparison. I'm looking for this style of cap, preferably (if the price does'nt meen getting a bank loan)...this style of cap with the Buick logo. I have 2 but they are a bit weathered now.

Close, but it has more spokes than the Buick rim.

Wasn't there a "Western" wheel that looked very similar?

Ohhh, just the center caps. Sorry, I guess we got off topic. Nope, don't got any of those for the Buick wheels, the Grand National wheels, or any of the aftermarket wheels.
It does sound like the center caps you need are the ones off the Buick Grand Nationals (if they will fit). I would check the various Grand National clubs and parts suppliers. Year One might even have them.
