Replaced the whole hinge assembly and top left latch on saturday.

Problem: Still drops a quarter inch when opening as a door. I have the hinge pushed as far left in the adjusting holes as i can. the bottom portion is to the right as far as the spring will allow. How can i raise the door that last quarter inch. I thought about shims where the bottom hinge joins the door. will that throw the right hand latches off any?

Do the GM hinge systems use thos nylon bushing rollers on the latch pins, like Fords? That's an 1/8th of an inch.

the hinge i replaced was on my mercury, forgot to mention that.

from what i can see on the replacement hinge or the worn out hinge there arent any nylon bushings. I cant even see where the play is coming from. Ill keep messing with it though.

Ah! Ford used to use tempered Bronze bushings, which are replaceable (dealer part). If not, the swivel pins are toast, and the dealers should be able to give you a part number, and likely the replacement kit, for the pins.
