Hey! I just signed up the other day, and should prolly tell you about myself. I'm mainly into '57-62 Plymouths, but I've had a few wagons over the years, and am currently holding out for an elusive '61 Plymouth 2-door wagon, I put an ad in the wanted section. One of my favorite projects of the past has been a '73 Buick Century Wagon, with the 350, just a plain jane 6-passenger wagon. I rescued it from the demo derby boys, just couldn't bear see it squished. I drove her for a bit with the dents and surface rust, then finally painted her and freshened her up a bit. She turned out quite nice, I think. I ended up selling her to a dealer in Texas, who then put some 'bling' wheels and tinted the windows. She was a real sweetheart, I've got a ton of photos of her, should anyone like to see. I don't know what became of her since. Anywho, it's good to be here, looks like a kool forum. I spent way too much time looking at the 'vintage photos' thread. Pete
to the wagon train, savoy. I remember that Buick when it was for sale. It was posted on here at one time. You are looking for a Plymouth of the Exner years....good choice!
Congratulations on saving one from the demo derby folks! It's a great looking car and you've got in such good shape that it's demo candidate days are over.
What a difference a little paint and some tlc make!! Too bad you had to get rid of it as it looks like it was a nice wagon after you got done with it.
Thanks for the positive comments, fellas. Here are a few more photos of the Buick. If I could have I'd have kept her, but I'm a Mopar man at heart. Although, driving her was kinda like dancing with a foreign girl--kinda exciting! Pete
Savoy. Now jes keep tellin' yerself, FINZ, IT'S GOTTA HAVE FINZ EVERBODY NEEDS ONE WITH FINZAsk me how I know this
Funny thing about the light paint color on the rims , the blackwall tires, and the insignia dog-dish caps: on this wagon they look nicely dressed up, not merely plain jane
Welcome Pete. I'm confoosed! You're looking for a 61, and you want a 61? {rpbably the most unique grille ever!
I'm skeert to ask! But probably your '61 Chrysler has something to do with it. Those are gaw-jess cars, I'd love to see some photos of her. And yes, Mr. Stormin, I'm looking specifically for a '61 Plymouth 2-door wagon, I've a sedan I drive everyday, but as testimony to some folks around here, you're not complete until you have the wagon. Pete
Nice save on the Buick....and nice resto!! and...everyone should dance with a foreen gurl ...at least once good luck on the hunt....and
