I found this site by mistake and I am happy to be here.:dancing:

I live in Missouri with my wife in a little house with a big attached garage. The garage is where I indulge in my automotive fantasies, both small and large.
First the station wagons i have owned:
    66 Caprice-325 HP- 327
    66 BelAir 6cyl.
    69 LTD Country Squire 390
    74 Olds custom Cruiser 455
    76 Pinto 2.3
    79 Fairmont 2.3
and presently 1970 Torino w/1989 Mustang GT 5.0 with 4aod
    and 1970 Torino Squire 351C

I also dabble in drawing. I drew this before painting the wagon.

The yellow one will be a Torino "GT" Wagon when I am done. The Blue one will loose its wood, gain a 429, Shaker, and become a "Cobra" wagon!

I'm 54 years old, and collect toys. I have over 22,000 different diecast cars in my collections. I also collect toys I had when I was a kid.
to see some of my toys in action, search hotwheelsbob2000 on Youtube.

I have 4 grown kids and 3 grandkids.
My house in Savannah Missouri has racing stripes.

So, again, howdy you all. I will look forward to interacting with you!

"outhouse on the roof" would mean you'd have plumbing above at least one of your cars... that's sub-optimal, just go water a tree. ;)

Seeing all the cars and meeting the people were AWESOME! However 2 things conspired to keep me from completing the tour. $4 a gallon gas plus on the leg from Topeka to Lincoln the accelerator stuck on my car as I was passing a few people. I ended up passing a lot of people on the 2 lane black top and scooting back into the line and nearly using up my brakes trying to stay off the deck of the rod in front of me. Finally I saw a wide shoulder and was able to pull off and shut down.
We fiddled with the linkage and couldn't find anything wrong. It started back up and idled normally. After spending some time at the stop in Lincoln I carefully drove it back home.
My son and I spent a lot of time dry running the linkage until we finally found out that at wide open throttle, the link going to the secondaries was dropping below center. When you let off the gas the link would then instead of closing the secondaries it would hold them open!!
We determined that the cam on the secondaries was installed upside down!
I heard of several other Demon carburators doing the same thing!

Hot looking Torino wagon, Bob and welcome to the site. You have some fine collection of cars. I love Country Squires; how about posting a picture of your '69? 22000 die cast models. YIKES!!! I thought I was doing good with around 100. Do you have them all out on display?

The 69 is one I had in the past and somehow I never took a picture of it.
In my list of previously owned wagons I forgot to list the 4 Taurus wagons I owned, one after another. I personally think they were one of the best if not the best designed American designed front wheel drive cars. I have a lot of respect for the longevity of the 3.0 V6. If my kids hadn't insisted in running them into things, I think they would have gone to 300,000 miles with no problem.
Not all of my diecasts are on display but I'm working on it.

    :Welcome:

That's called a garage with an attached house.

Nice looking wagon, even if it is a Ford.:p:rofl2:
    I had a '55 Ranch Wagon.;)
I like wagons no matter what they are. Just don't back into me with the Pinto, they're considered WMD's.:) The Taurus wagons are starting to look cool to me now, sort of scares me.;)

Actually the Pinto Wagons didn't have the problem the hatchbacks and sedans did, There was about a foot more of sheet metal between the rear end the gas tank on the wagons, plus I think they did the fuel filler pipe a little different in the wagons. The reason the sedan and hatchback had a problem was the fuel filler pipe was not solidly attached to tank. The pipe slid through a rubber donut into the tank. On a hard impact if the left quarter panel is displaced by a certain amount, it would pull the pipe out of the tank and allow the gas run out.
Ford added a bracket that solidly held the filler to the tank to keep it from pulling out on impact.
My wagon was rear ended before I bought. I did a superficial repair and the 1st day I drove it a brand new Chevy pickup tried to drive through my driver's door. I was slammed against the door glass as it broke and recieved 39 stitches to my head and shoulder. The Chevy pick up was totalled, the Pinto was totalled but still drivable.
    I enjoyed my Pintos.(y)

Almost bought one once with a V-8. Smoked bad & the used car dealer wanted too much for it. Would have been cool, a Pinto wagon w/ V-8 power. Definitely like the Torino (DROOL, DROOL).:1st::wow:

At the 1970 Auto Show in Columbus Ohio I saw a 1970 Torino Cobra in the yellow and black and was completely smitten!
