Hi, I am a car-a-holic Hey everyone! I am new here to this site. I am here to learn. I have many different cars and different hobbies mostly related around collecting mobilia. My goal in life is to creat my on musuem. I have been around wagons my whole life. First family wagon was my dad's 72 Chrysler town and country. We used to vacation all over the country in that thing. I used to push it around the block for football training in the summers. I remember when he let me take it to an AC/DC concert when I was 16. Loved that 440 and posi rear end! I have always had a soft spot for wagons and have owned a couple along the way. My kids are of the age where I think it is my turn to get a wagon and tour the country. I have a 1963 Avion that I want to pull with it. We took it to Bonneville last year for vacation, but used my late model to pull it....I have a 1950 Chevy Panel truck I can pull it with, but with no windows the kids can't see the U.S. the way it should be........so I am looking for a wagon!
Welcome aboard, sounds like its time to find something with a big block, or do a duramx/allison conversion into an older wagon! Love the camper btw. Bill
Curator, there ain't no cure for an autoholic, except another one! Welcome aboard and good luck with the hunt.
Curator. Is that a Jeep in the back of that Dodge? You need a nice 68 or so Mercury Colony Park to pull that Avion around.
no, it is a 33 plymouth coupe I picked up in North Dakota for my daughter! I have a buick sport wagon to look at first...thanks.
The old elbow grease marathon, huh? Here's a couple of links to help make it easier: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44...hread-lots-of-great-tips-and-links-16475.html http://www.russellw.com/planes/ryan/polishing.htm
, with that trailer (nice!) I think you should stick with era correct for your wagon...but thats just me. Good luck with the wagon hunt and keep us informed:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
I totally agree! But I have to look at this Buick, it has the vista windows in the roof! I would love to find a mopar 59 to 62 ish....Problem is I don't want a real nice one, just solid. Thanks...
to the wagon train, curator. I love those late 50's early 60's Mopars too! Of course, for pulling that trailer you couldn't go wrong with one like your dad had either.
