Other thread on first 'drives' brought this question to mind....
What vehicle did they use in your Driver's Training Program?

Mine, courtesy of the L.A. City School District, was a 1967 Plymouth Fury III 4-door hardtop, very similar to this one........

'66 Malibu with two steering wheels and two brake pedals (driver and trainer). It was a GM town and they donated them.

My school didn't offer driver's ed. The school district was too poor.

The class I took had an 1985 Chevy Celebrity :slap:

I never took the driving part of driver's ed, just the book part of it. As much as I drove before I had my license, the practical driving would have been redundant!

yeah, my school district didnt offer ed either, (the district had too many lawyers as parents i think!) so my mom taught me how to drive in her 1993 jeep cherokee and my dad taught me how to drive a stick in his wifes 1993 toyota celica!

A fleet of one year old 1974 Ford Torino 4 door sedans, and one 68 Ford Galaxie 4 door. We all liked the 68 Ford and we all hated the 74 Torinos. The Torinos had such a high rear window that no one could see out the back well enough to parallel park. The 68 was easier to drive and had a radio.
