My name is tom and I'm glad to be here! I was wondering if you can help me? I'm looking for some kind of vintage roof rack / luggage rack for my 55 Chevy Suburban? I've seen a picture of a 60's Pontiac rack and I like the way it comes to a point in the front - Does anyone know where I could get one or one similar to it?

    Welcome Tom. :Welcome:

Way down the main page, there's a section (Forum) called Site News, Feedback and Help. Everything you wanted to know about sex and cars and were afraid to ask! :rofl2:

The first 3 stickies are about posting pictures.

Here's some stuff on Chevy trimmings:
    http://www.classicchevy.com/

    http://www.classicchevroletparts.com/

That last site also has a sister site for Fords and obsolete parts:
    http://www.classicautoparts.com/

This might also be a good place. It's mainly NOS GM parts:
    http://www.automobilearchives.com/

My favourite hunting site is this one. You'll find manufacturers, clubs, manuals, etc. from every corner of the world:

As soon as I can take some pictures of my (new) 55 Chevy Suburban, and if I can figure out how to post them, I'll send you some. The suburban is rather rough, but I trying to plan ahead and trying to locate some kind of roof rack / luggage rack for it.

I know I don't exactly have a station wagon, but it's kind of like a staion wagon. It has a second row of seats and side windows and the tailgate folds down:) All it's missing is a nice roof rack / luggage rack to complete the family "look". (which I really do have - wife & two kids)!
