Hello, I stumbled across this forum while wishfully searching for old G-Body wagons for sale. I currently drive a '95 Saturn SW2. Doesn't seem too popular around here, but it gets my family of three around with room to spare and with decent economy. Glad to find a website dedicated to station wagons.
Welcome Kevin! I don't think I've ever seen a Saturn Wagon up here in our prairie wasteland. So yeah, put up some pics.
Thanks for the warm reception guys. I'll have to admit I didn't have much of an affinity for wagons until one of my friends got a '93 Caprice Wagon de-wooded it and lowered it. At that time I think they still had that stigma attached to them which probably drew me to them more (as you can see from my sig I tend to gravitate towards off the beaten path, different, eye of the beholder type cars). If I had my druthers I'd be driving a early/mid 60's Falcon or Nova with a straight six and a three speed or possibly a G-Body wagon or 91/92 Olds Custom Cruiser, but living in the land of ice, snow and salt prevents me from subjecting any of those jewels to that. I've worked on enough older vehicles that have spent their lives in Michigan. I don't have any pics of my wagon right now. I'll have to admit that I'm still coming out of the winter freeze and haven't cleaned it up yet. Right now it is an automatic, but I am collecting the parts to swap it to a 5 speed this summer among other things. I'm not sure what it is, but I love the feeling of taking the family on a road trip with it loaded up completely and just riding down the highway. Anyways, most of my car experience is with older GM's (specifically Chevy) from the 60's/70's, but I've obviously strayed from that quite a bit in the past few years. In case any of you are wondering, yes, my wife does constantly hassle me about the number of cars I have. Luckily I had all of them before we got married. That doesn't keep her from gently reminding me that she'd still like a spot in the garage for the winter.
The one and only... I saw it and really liked it - when I found out it was only an hour away, I had to see it. Now it sits happily in my driveway...
