77 Sunset Strip remake in the works

I was on the UK's BBC News site this morning, and found this Movie industry link, so I cruised a bit:

We won't see it Canada for years, except those who have Cable. Unless... I finish my OTA digital antenna... I can get Fargo and Grand Forks signals.

And about that comb - now I remember, it dripped Brylcream, or vaseline, or some such. Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww

I was a big fan of 77 Sunset Strip back then. It was done as a 'right now' series, but would have to be done as a period piece now to recapture all the Bratpack, hipster mood. I don't think it would transform well if you tried to plug those characters into 2010.

Just looked it up on Wiki and found out it was created by Roy Huggins - the same guy who did The Rockford Files.

 

Roy Huggins also did one of my all-time favorites, The Fugitive.
So good.
